Anyone who has visited the Coney Island Museum or had the pleasure to see Marie Roberts’ work in the Radar Curatorial show Coney Island Alive: Weird Women & Strange Men knows that her life and work, the young person who grew up hearing Carney at home and the academically trained professional artist, melded together to create special works of art.
Luckily you can see her work in the Brooklyn Museum show Coney Island: Visions of an American Dreamland, 1861–2008 from November 20, 2015–March 13, 2016.
